Two DVDs on ADHD

Featuring renowned ADHD expert Dr. Russell Barkley, these videos are valuable resources for teachers, school counselors, and all mental health practitioners assessing, treating and working with children with ADHD.

Comprehensive, informative and easy to follow, these videos demonstrate a practical approach to assessing and treating ADHD within the schools.

Assessing ADHD in the Schools

Meet Todd, a 3rd grade student who has been leaving his teacher at wits end. He can’t sit still, distracts his peers, and has trouble completing assignments, leading his teacher to suspect that he might be suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. As his teacher begins the assessment process, leading authority on ADHD, Dr. Russell Barkley, offers some words of wisdom, and George DuPaul and Gary Stoner walk us through each step in their multi-method approach. You’ll watch interviews with Todd’s parents and the school psychologist, as well as meetings with a team of experts from the school, who collaborate to come to a diagnosis and treatment plan.

From watching this video, you will:

  • Learn step-by-step how to assess a student for ADHD in a school setting using multiple methods.
  • Get real and practical information about ADHD, the complications of assessment, and the importance of accurate diagnosis.

Classroom Interventions for ADHD
