Seth Gillihan, PhD


Seth Gillihan, PhD Licensed psychologist Seth J. Gillihan, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Psychiatry Department at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gillihan has written and lectured nationally and internationally on cognitive behavioral therapy and the role of the brain in psychiatric conditions. His books include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Made Simple, Retrain Your Brain: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks, and Overcoming OCD: A Journey to Recovery with Janet Singer. His forthcoming book A Mindful Year: 365 Ways to Find Connection and the Sacred in Everyday Life with Dr. Aria Campbell-Danesh will be published in fall 2019. Dr. Gillihan also hosts the weekly Think Act Be podcast, which features a wide range of conversations about living more fully. He has a clinical practice in Haverford, PA, where he provides treatment to adults with OCD, anxiety, depression, and related conditions.
