David Nylund, LCSW, PhD is a Professor of Social Work at California State University, Sacramento (USA) and the Clinical Director of the Gender Health Center, a community- based agency serving the transgender and queer communities. David earned his PhD in Cultural Studies with Designated Emphasis in Feminist Theory and Research from the University of California, Davis. He is a faculty member of the Vancouver School for Narrative Therapy. He is the author of several books and articles on narrative therapy, queer theory, critical sports studies, and cultural studies. David’s forthcoming book, Trans-Affirmative Therapy for Working with Transgender and Non-Binary People: A Queer-Informed Narrative Therapy Approach, will be available in January 2021 (Jessica Kingsley Publishers).
