4 Lives–Welcome to the Studio

4 Lives–Welcome to the Studio

4 Lives: Welcome to the Studio is a filmed performance blending original music, poetry, and narrative to explore the therapeutic journeys of three clients: an angry adolescent, a man facing addiction and depression, and an older woman coping with loss and aging. Through artmaking, their emotional experiences are expressed with depth and nuance. The work also demonstrates responsive artmaking, where therapists create art in response to clients, fostering empathy and dialogue. Bridging creative expression and clinical practice, the piece highlights artmaking as a powerful tool for healing, connection, and social transformation within therapeutic settings.
