Overview

The mandala, an ancient symbol found in many cultures and religions as noted by Dr. Carl Jung, is often employed by art therapists. This film consists of two individual mandala assessments facilitated by art therapist Carol Cox at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital. Introducing and reflecting on these two examples, Cox highlight show to be an auxiliary presence while a client engages in the art process. She teaches how to incorporate a mandala drawing into a session, and introduces how to ascertain valuable information about the client, based on the teachings of art therapist Joan Kellogg.
