State Requirements
Psychotherapy.net is an approved CE provider for the state of Florida by:
- The Florida Board of Psychology accepts courses from any provider who is APA approved.
- The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling accepts courses from any provider who is NBCC and/or NAADAC approved.
- The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling accepts courses from any provider who is APA and/or NBCC approved.
- The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling accepts courses approved by ASWB ACE.
License Requirements
Psychologists
40 hours every 2 years, all of which may be completed by home study; 3 of the 40 hours must be in ethics and Florida Statutes and rules affecting the practice of psychology, 2 in medical errors (every licensing period), and 2 in domestic violence (every third renewal period).
Marriage and Family Therapy
MFT: 25 hours every 2 years; 3 of the 25 hours must be in ethics, 2 in medical errors, 3 in laws and rules, and 2 in domestic violence.
Licensed Professional Counselor
LPC: 25 hours every 2 years; 3 of the 25 hours must be in ethics, 2 in medical errors, 3 in laws and rules, and 2 in domestic violence.
Social Worker
LBSW / LMSW / LICSW: 30 hours every 2 years; 3 must be in ethics, 3 in laws and rules, 2 in domestic violence, and 4 hours of qualified supervisor training (where applicable)
