State Requirements
Psychotherapy.net is an approved CE provider for the state of Maine by:
- The Board of Examiners of Psychologists of Maine accepts courses from any provider who is APA approved.
- The Board of Counseling Professionals Licensure: Professional Counselor, Clinical Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Counselor, Pastoral Counselor, Registered Counselor accepts courses from any provider who is NBCC and/or NAADAC approved.
- The Board of Counseling Professionals Licensure: Professional Counselor, Clinical Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Counselor, Pastoral Counselor, Registered Counselor accepts courses from any provider who is APA and/or NBCC approved.
- The Maine State Board of Social Worker Licensure accepts courses approved by ASWB ACE.
License Requirements
Psychologists
40 hours every 2 years, all of which may be completed by home study.
Marriage and Family Therapy
MFT: 55 hours every 2 years.
Licensed Professional Counselor
LPC: 55 hours every 2 years.
Social Worker
LBSW / LMSW / LICSW: 25 hours per year, 6 hours in social work ethics.
