State Requirements
Psychotherapy.net is an approved CE provider for the state of South Dakota by:
- The South Dakota Board of Psychologist Examiners accepts courses from any provider who is APA approved.
- The Board of Examiners for Counselors & Marriage and Family Therapists accepts courses from any provider who is NBCC and/or NAADAC approved.
- The Board of Examiners for Counselors & Marriage and Family Therapists
accepts courses from any provider who is APA and/or NBCC approved. - The South Dakota State Board of Social Work Examiners accepts courses approved by ASWB ACE.
License Requirements
Psychologists
40 hours every 2 years; 4 must be in ethics as it relates to counseling.
Marriage and Family Therapy
MFT: 40 hours every 2 years.
Licensed Professional Counselor
LPC: 40 hours every 2 years.
Social Worker
LCSW: 30 hours every 2 years, 6 hours of ethics.
