Overview

This film is comprised of clips from three joint sessions with teenaged siblings, Ben and Anna. All of the sessions are categorized as expressive therapy; two are drama therapy and the remaining one is an art therapy session.

In the first film with drama therapist Rosemarie Perla, Anna and Ben are introduced to using puppets in therapy. They are guided through naming the puppets, then helped to further develop their characters, as the therapist converses with each puppet.

In the second session with drama therapist Eleanor Irwin, Anna and Ben are asked to look through photographs of people, with the intention of noting any that they find curious and may be interested in using to develop a story. Anna and Ben select a myriad of images and have some minor conflicts over the direction the story takes.

In the third segment, art therapist Judith Rubin invites Anna and Ben to select from magazine images and to create a joint picture using the photos as well as art materials.
