Overview

Four seasoned art therapists come together to reflect on “how we think about what’s ethical in art therapy” in this ethics webinar replay. Starting with the evolution of ethical thinking from its earliest roots in Greek philosophy to present day conceptualizations and how our thinking has incorporated relational changes in clinical theory and practice, thus reframing the ethical dialogue. The conversation moves into the multitude of factors that bear upon the ethical decision-making process; the ethical concepts under pinning training and education; how knowledge is shaped, personal expression, and power dynamics; and digital social responsibility, cyber bullying and best practices with respect to online privacy.

This presentation was sponsored by the European Federation of Art Therapy (EFAT) on June 5, 2021.
