What is the difference between Social Work CEU courses and CE credits? The term CEU (continuing education unit) cannot be used to refer to credits earned from ASWB-approved sponsors. It is simply a matter of terminology - a CE credit for Social Workers is granted on a one credit per one contact hour basis; CEUs, on the other hand, grant one CEU for every ten contact hours. So, if you are used to thinking "Social Work CEU" just substitute "Social Work CE credit".
