Overview

The prompt for this particular group was “Draw how ADHD has impacted your marriage or relationship”. Each member drew on a large piece of paper attached to the wall. Diane Safran provides commentary to enrich the viewing experience. The members of this group, which has been meeting for a very long time, are comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with one another. Because they have had considerable experience expressing ideas in art, they are also able to reflect on what they have created individually and to respond to the creations of others. The rapport between the members and the mutual respect which includes the therapist represent an achievement in an ongoing group, leading to its efficacy.
