Who benefits from CE courses?
Psychotherapists (Psychologists, Marriage & Family Therapists, Counselors, and Social Workers) and other mental health professionals and students with a variety of levels of experience will benefit from these courses.
Which boards and associations have approved Psychotherapy.net for online and home study CE courses?
See CE Approvals List. We are approved for a wide variety of professional associations and boards.
How do I purchase the CE courses for videos, articles and interviews?
Go directly to our CE home page to find listings of all our CE courses in one place. Click on the box for CE for videos, interviews or articles to choose from our array of course offerings. You can order one or more at a time or purchase a Special CE Package for discounts on credits.
- To order CE for articles and interviews simply check the box and add your courses to your cart.
- To order CE for videos, click on the More info/Order button which takes you to the DVD detail page to place your order.
(Remember, you need to order the DVD along with the CE course, unless you have already done so previously.)
Once you are ready to check out, just go to your cart and you’re ready to complete your purchase.
Alternatively, you may go to the bottom of any article, interview or video page that has our CE hat icon. Check the box for the CE course and click the Add to Cart button. You will find the course waiting for you in your shopping cart when you are ready to check out and make your purchases.
- Login to Your Account: As soon as your purchase is complete, you will receive instructions by email about how to login to access reading material and take post-tests.
- Special CE Packages: Our best CE option! Save money and get ahead of the game by purchasing our Special CE Packages. Purchase 9, 18 or 36 credits all at once and get a nice cost savings. The credits are good for two years for any of our ever-expanding list of CE courses. Purchase the CE package on our main CE pages and then use the credits up at your own pace, whenever you're in the mood and see a course that captures your fancy! We keep track of how many credits you have used up. Once you have purchased a CE package, login to get started, then return to the CE pages to make CE course selections by adding them to your cart - don't worry the price will be removed at checkout! How do I take the online post-tests for CE Courses?
Just login to your account, which you set up when you made your first order for CE courses.
What if I have forgotten my password or account name?
Go to our login page to obtain your username or password, click Find My Account, and we will email you the information to login.
How do I obtain a Certificate of Completion for CE Courses?
You study the material (video, interview, article, or manual) at your own pace, and take the brief online test when you are ready. Once you pass the post-test with a score of at least 70%, you will receive a Certificate of Completion via email. If you do not pass the test, you may retake it until you do pass for no additional charge. You can use the certificate to complete the CE paperwork required by your board.
Psychotherapy.net does not submit any documentation to licensing boards.
Are videos, articles, interviews & manuals approved for Home Study and Online CE Credits?
Yes. Psychotherapy.net has gained approval for home study and online CE Credits for courses including articles, interviews, manuals and videos. Most associations and boards allow all or part of CE credits to be obtained online or in home study courses. See our CE Approvals List and check with your board to find out the details. All of our post-tests are taken by participants in our online format. Nothing to mail in!
Can I order a CE course for a video if I already purchased the video previously?
Yes, some people purchase the video and decide later that they want to get CE credits for watching the video. Just check the box for the CE course without checking the box for the video you already have.
Can I combine CE courses for video, articles, and interviews?
Yes, you are welcome to mix and match your CE courses by just adding them to your cart for regular purchases or a pre-purchased CE package.
What if I purchased CE at a conference or through my institution, and have a slip of paper with a product key?
Go to our CE Home page and click on the link that says Conference CE. You will then be asked to register your product keys.
Refunds?
Psychotherapy.net will provide a 100% refund if you are dissatisfied with the CE products or materials. A request for refund must be made (1) within 60 days of purchase of the CE course, and (2) prior to taking the course post-test. Refunds are not available once you have taken a CE test, whether or not you passed.

We want to hear from you. After you complete the post-test we ask that you fill out an online Course Evaluation. Please take a moment to share your thoughts with us. We count on your feedback to provide the best programs that we can.
