Lawrence 'Larry' Rubin, PhD,  ABPP, RPT-S is a North Carolina-based Psychologist and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, who teaches in the Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counseling Programs at Nova Southeastern University. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, teens, and their families. He has published several popular books including Handbook of Medical Play Therapy and Child Life: Interventions in Clinical and Medical Settings, Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Skills: A Popular Culture Casebook Approach, and Using Superheroes and Villains in Counseling and Play Therapy: A Guide for Mental Health Professionals.
