He is the founder of the ACT model, and author of 35 books and over 500 scientific articles. Steven B. Sandler, MD, is a psychiatrist at Albany Medical Center in upstate New York, where he specializes in the field of individual psychotherapy. For the past twenty-five years, he has been practicing and teaching an approach called Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy.
Sandler received his MD from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, and completed residencies at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse (pediatrics) and Albany (psychiatry). He has been practicing psychiatry since 1990, specializing in Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (STDP).

He has a PhD in psychology from Harvard University, and has twice won Harvard's award for excellence in teaching. Sudhanva Rajagopal is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. His clinical and research interests include trauma, political psychology, and the development of culturally responsive assessment and treatment protocols. Sudhanva is also a freelance writer, musician, and filmmaker. As a flamenco musician, he has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and the US, including a 2015 appearance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He also has a masters degree in film producing from the University of Southern California. His 2006 documentary film, Panihari: The Water Women of India detailed social issues faced by women of the Thar Desert in northern India. Sueann Kenney-Noziska, MSW, LCSW, RPT-S, has over 25 years of clinical experience, specializing in clinical practice with abused & traumatized children. Kelly Pullen MA, LPC-S, RPT is the Clinical Supervisor at The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County located just North of Dallas Texas. She has been a clinician at the CACCC for 15 years specializing in both individual and group therapy sessions for children and their non-offending family members who are victims of abuse, neglect, and traumatic grief. As the Clinical Supervisor at the CACCC her role is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Dr. Susan Heitler is a clinical psychologist specializing in saving marriages. Susan Hurwit, PsyD, is a child and adult psychologist in private practice in Newton, Massachusetts.
